Critique

Thank you to all the members who gave me the chance to judge this prestigious show and I would also like to thank all the exhibiters who gave me the privilege of going over their lovely dogs.

 MPD (3)

1st Sweetzer's Ambalasi Splash and Dash. Seven month old puppy. Just a baby but with a lovely head. Correct mouth and short foreface . Level top line and good movement. Harsh coat coming through but would have liked a little less weight on him.

2nd Hill's Olton Aye to Zed. Almost nine months old. Good head neat ears and correct bite. Lovely straight coat but slightly longer cast than one. Would have liked a bit more body on him but I hope it will come as he matures.

3rd Bartley's Yushama Shooting Star.

JD. (5/2a)

1st Strand's Crinan Code Name Westlake. Well balanced young dog. Good head with well defined stop. Dark eye and strong muzzle. Correct bite. Good reach of neck and correct layback of shoulder. Tail on top, and moved well and all wrapped up in a very white coat.
2nd Carlin & Gillott's Lizandycris Check Me Out. Smart young man but not quite as mature as 1. Good head and expression with correct bite. Good lay back of shoulder and level topline. Short coupled and harsh white coat.

3rd. Corri's Inverglen Lowe 'N' Behold.

 YD.(3/1a)

2nd.Jenkinson's Highcross Willie Be Charmed. Very close to one and I'm sure they will change places many times. The deciding factor was his reluctance to keep his ears up.

3rd Budge' Charmedautum Dazzle.

LD.(5/1a)

1st. Taylor & Metcalfe's Flassendale Fairlie. Well balanced mature dog. Lovely broad head, neat ears which he uses. Dark eye, good stop, broad muzzle and correct bite. Good reach of neck into correct shoulders. Deep chest and well muscled legs. Plenty of bone and substance. Level topline, short coupled and well angulated. Neat tight feet. Harsh white coat with just the right amount of furnishings not to detract from his good movement. RCC.

2nd. Jenning's Comdale Johnny Boy. Smart young man well groomed as always from this kennel. Dark eye and pigment, neat ears, good shoulders and level topline. Tail on top and moved with drive.

3rd Inverglen Lord Of The Manor.

 OD.(5)

1st Edmondson's Pepabby Prank. There is nothing I can say about this boy that hasn't been said many times before. With everything as it should be he just fills the eye. Large head with dark correct shaped eye. Broad muzzle and correct mouth with big teeth. Good reach of neck into well laid shoulders. Deep rib and short coupled. Short back with level topline. Tail on top and correct bend of stifle. Well muscled legs and nice tight feet. Harsh coat and well presented. CC and BIS.

3rd Dale's Something Special Superbia Lynnsto (imp Pol).

 VD.(7/4a)

1st Budge's Rozamie Icicle. This boy certainly doesn't look like a veteran. He is well balanced with a good head, correct reach of neck, level topline and tail on top. Shoulders well laid and a deep rib cage. Short coupled and good bend of stifle. Correct harsh jacket and beautifully presented.BV.

2nd Davison's Antonia Apple Pie. Another boy not looking his age. Slightly wider in front than 1 but with a harsh coat which was well presented and he moved with drive.

SBB(2)

1st Harper's Westigo Sheza Delight. Good head with typical westie expression Neat ears and dark eye. Correct mouth. Level topline. Moved well.

3rd. Davison's Lynnsto That'll Do Nicely At Braxquin.

YB (3)

1st. Ash's Hillcloud Ice. Good head and typical expression. Short broad muzzle. Correct bite but pigment could have been darker. Straight narrow front with good layback of shoulder. Short coupled and well angulated. Harsh white coat well presented. Moved well.

Strong jaw line and correct bite with good sized teeth. Good reach of neck and straight front. Well laid back shoulders. Short level back and tail on top. Well angulated hind with strong hocks. Excellent coat with just the right amount of furnishings so as not to detract from her excellent movement CC & BOS

2nd Smith's Lingbeck Playing The Lady. Another lovely freestanding bitch with the harshest of coats. Such a lot to like about her. Strong feminine head, good layback , level topline and moved with drive. Would have liked a little less body on her but she was worthy of the RCC.

OB (7/3a)

1st Jenning's Comdale Starr. Pretty little girl so eager to please her handler. Pleasing head with strong foreface, dark eye and neat ears. Straight front and good reach of neck.
